This course is designed to give an overview of program management based on best practices and 2 global standards: the PMI Standard for Program Management (2nd ed) and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), issued by OGC.

The workshop can act as a pre-cursor for people wishing to sit exams for the PMI's PgMP or APM Group's MSP credentials.
It defines the roles and responsibilities of the program manager as well as the concepts of benefit management, program stakeholder management and program governance. Program management is an activity based around the implementation of corporate strategy and, as such, is designed for senior personnel involved in a multi-project environment but senior project managers with responsibility for benefits realisation may also find this useful.
