The P3O workshop is based on the OGC's Portfolio, Programme & Project Office standard addresses all aspects need to gain certification to P3O Foundation level.

P3O is a set of guidance to the definition, establishment and management of the implementation (or re-energising) of P3O models. It is based on diverse industry experience but is NOT a prescriptive method.

The workshop specifically addresses:

  • Different Portfolio, Programme & Project Office models
  • Differences between portfolio, programme and project management
  • What value P3Os can bring to the organisation, and how that success can be measured
  • Purpose and roles of P3O members
  • Key functions, services, tools and techniques of a P3O
  • P3O terminology

 

The principle benefits of learning about and implementing a P3O are manyfold but revolve around the increased visibility and control over the contents, conduct and performance of an organisation's portfolio.
